We are pleased to announce a new version of Joey, known as Joey+ (or Joey Plus). Joey plus adds a Power over Ethernet (PoE) RJ45 connector. This very exiting development will allow the Joey+ to be powered by the Ethernet cable.
Subscription costs for Joey+ are the same as for Joey. All new Joey units from 1 July 2022 can be upgraded to Joey+ by returning to the factory.
The use cases of Joey+ include:
- connection to external modems (including satellite modems) for very remote installs,
- connection to internet via ground networks (with mobile fallback)
- connection to industrial networks
- connection with industrial controllers
- connection to PoE security camera networks, and
- insert noise charts overlay on video feeds
